Sweetcorn is great in a stir fry, on the barbeque, boiled, or steamed then drizzled with butter.

It is best to eat sweetcorn when ripe (as fresh as possible) and when the kernels are sweet and juicy. It is best to use sweetcorn within a few days of buying it.

You will know if your sweetcorn is still fresh if the kernels let out a white and milky liquid when cut open.

British sweetcorn is at it’s best in August.
