The Ultimate Fact’s…

It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking..

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an
hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from
his lungs.

His bed was next to the room’s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on
his back.

The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their
homes, their jobs, their involvement in the
military service, where they had been on
vacation..

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the
window could sit up, he would pass the time by
describing to his roommate all the things he could
see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those
one hour periods where his world would be
broadened and enlivened by all the activity and
colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.Ducks and swans played on the water while
children sailed their model boats. Young lovers
walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour
and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen
in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in
exquisite details, the man on the other side of
the room would close his eyes and imagine this
picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window
described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band –
he could see it in his mind’s eye as the
gentleman by the window portrayed it with
descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring
water for their baths only to find the lifeless body
of the man by the window, who had died
peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital
attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man
asked if he could be moved next to the window.
The nurse was happy to make the switch, and
after making sure he was comfortable, she left
him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one
elbow to take his first look at the real world
outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window
besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have
compelled his deceased roommate who had
described such wonderful things outside this
window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and
could not even see the wall.

She said, ‘Perhaps he just wanted to encourage
you.’

Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others
happy, despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness
when shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things
you have that money can’t buy.
‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The
Present .’

A Prayer For Discernment

Today’s Prayer
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).

Dear Lord, I am so aware of howย Satan picks at me and tries to trip me all the time.

I know there are spiritual dangers around me.

Please help me to remain alert and to be under the Holy Spirit’s control at all times.

I want to draw near to You, so the devil will flee.

Please protect my family and me from harm and evil.

Thank You for Your love, concern, and protection.

Inย Jesus’ name, amen.

Praying Hands

I felt impressed to share this prayer with you all. My peers at college are busy watching the new film “Evil Dead” and I decided that I was going to check my emails so that I didn’t have to watch it.

As I was reading I came across an email that I hadn’t yet read. The prayer seemed so perfect for me right now as I have been praying during this movie.

I can hear everything that is going on in the film and can see how intrigued my peers are, but I can see the Lord and would rather commune with Him than stray into the devils territory.

Praise be to God, who loves me and will always protect me even when it seems that I am in a difficult situation that may test my relationship with Him.

The Good Friday Prayer

Good Friday

Today’s Prayer
O dear heavenly Father, this day brings heaviness to my heart and joy to my soul.

Good Friday, the day that those of us who are followers of Christ “Christians” recognize the moment in history when your Son, our Savior, was led to the Cross, to suffer crucifixion and physical death and experience separation from You because of our sin.

I am so sorry that my sin and the sin of mankind made it necessary for such a sacrifice.

I’m sorry that my sin caused Jesus such pain and grief and caused your heart to break.

I thank You for providing a way for me to come to You through Jesus.

I thank You that Good Friday was not the end, but that Jesus Christ resurrected on the third day and sits at your right hand today, interceding on my behalf and on behalf of all who come to Him with belief and faith and repentance.

I remember today and I am grateful. For it is in the name of Jesus that I can come to you,

Father.

Lovingly,

amen.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and a wonderful Good Friday reflecting on God and resting from a busy week ๐Ÿ™‚

The Prayer of Reflection & Discernment

White-Rose_Pink-Spots__43637

Morning All!

I found this beautiful prayer and thought that I should share it with you. I would like you to read i because I think that it’s something that we should all pray when we wake up. It reminds us of our Father and allows Him to help us during our day and to help us share our love for Him with others. You will understand this when you read it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Today’s Prayer

Dear God,

I pray that you will give me strength, wisdom, knowledge and a sensitivity to recognize the opportunities before me to tell others about you. I pray that I will have eyes to see and ears to hear your message and your whispers and a heart to feel the prompting of the Holy Spirit to speak, to act, to make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you, God, for all you have done for me and all you will do through me for your glory and honor. I praise you, for you are great and mighty. You are my God and Creator, my Father and Nurturer, my God who is always there loving me, guiding me, and protecting me. Thank you, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Praise The Lord

Praise The Lord!

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a poem, so here goes ๐Ÿ™‚

Praise The Lord,

You are my sword.

You keep me from hurt and harm,

under an angels arm.

You love me so much,

It’s you I wish to touch.

You are my Heavenly Dad,

and for that reason I no longer need to be sad.

Praise the Lord!

I know that that was probably rubbish, but oh well. It’s best to keep things simple. ๐Ÿ™‚ Nighty night all! From Nadine

My New Muse: Steady My Heart By Kari Jobe

Musical Notes

For those who don’t know, I am a huge fan of Kari Jobe and have been listening and sharing her songs with you for quite a while. (If you don’t believe me, check the post below :). )

This particular song that I will share with you today is currently one of my favorites and one that I love to tire out as I’m singing it all the time. It just reminds me of happiness and love and reminds me that God is always there and is always looking after me even when life throws something I don’t like at me ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is the song for you to listen to and the video for you to watch. Reflect on the lyrics and remember that the sun always shines at the end of even the darkest tunnels.

Time To Hear

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I was s checking my emails and I came across this lovely one. I thought that I would share it with you because I believe that God should come first everyday and that we should look after our bodies. I hope that you enjoy it and that it helps you with your daily walk with god ๐Ÿ™‚

Today’s Prayer
Dear Father in Heaven, praise be to your name in all the earth! Thank you for the years of good health you have given, and for walking me through the times when I have been ill or faced physical problems. I pray that I, and every Christian, will always be mindful of the fact that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit. We want to keep ourselves clean, pure, and as healthy as possible, for we need to be good examples and have good testimonies before others. We need to honor you and your Spirit through our bodies, as well as our minds and actions. Please give us wisdom and knowledge of right things to eat, the right ways to exercise, and motivate us to do what we must to stay in shape and be healthy. So often we get busy and have so much to do, that we do not make time to take care of our physical bodies. Open the door, give us the desire, and show us the way. May we take care of what you have given us. In the name of the Savior I pray, amen.

Time to Hear
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1, by Os Hillman

“He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him.” – John 14:21b

We live in a day of 12-step programs for this, four points to success for that, and all forms of programmed means of becoming successful. Have you ever wondered how you can guarantee a greater revelation of Jesus in your life? Jesus tells us how this can be done. It is all tied to obedience. In John, He tells us the following: “Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him” (Jn. 14:21). The key here is in the last three words. He will show Himself to us because of our loving Him through our obedience. The more obedient we become, the more revelation of His presence we will feel in our life. Jeremiah tells us, “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jer. 33:3).

Many Christians wonder why they cannot hear or sense God’s presence in their life. It is because they do not seek Him with a whole heart, and they are not obedient to the things He has asked. God does not show us the next move until we are obedient to the first thing He has spoken to us. It is a progressive process. He entrusts the small things to us first, then moves us to the larger. I was like many today who are so focused on seeking the activity of God rather than seeking God Himself. Hebrews tells us that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. In the Old Testament we are told, “But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul” (Deut. 4:29).

I realized if I was going to hear God’s voice, I had to make time to seek Him and hear Him. I had to spend focused time alone reading, studying, and seeking His face only. Jesus set the model for this when He often left the crowds to be alone and seek His heavenly Father. I also had to tune my “radio” to His frequency. Static comes into that frequency when I am disobedient. My level of seeking determines the power of my “radio” to reach Him. The more I seek Him, the more I hear Him. Seek the Lord today so that you may be empowered by His presence.

Giving Him The Key

I read this beautiful prayer and story from a n email that I forgot I subscribed to. I decided to stop and read it and loved it so much that I thought I should share it with you. I also want to share my views on it, so here goes:

Today’s Prayer
Dear God, I pray that my work will be a lasting monument to your faithfulness in my life. Whether it is taking care of children, comforting a grieving neighbor, visiting a sick friend, teaching a class, developing a special project, managing money, or whatever the task, God show me if it is bringing glory to You. If it is not, help me to recognize how and what I should be doing or not doing. If it is, then give me the strength to keep on doing what pleases You. Please give me the desire and faith to give the first fruits of my increase to you. May you be glorified, my God, the source of all blessing. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Giving Him the Key
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1, by Os Hillman
02-02-2013

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20

A friend of mine tells the story of an encounter he had with a very important government official – the head of state for a country. In the course of some meetings with my friend, the official came up to him and said, “I perceive that there is a difference between you and me. Is it because I come from a different denomination?” My friend began to explain why there was a difference.

“If you were to come to my home, I would invite you in as an honored guest. As my guest, you would enjoy everything I had in my home. However, you would still be a guest. You would not have the keys to the home, and your authority in that home would be merely as a guest. However, if I said to you that I am turning over my home to you and you now have the keys to my home, I would be your servant.” My friend continued, “This is the difference between you and me. You have merely invited Jesus into your home as a guest. I have given Jesus the keys to my home [heart] and I am his servant.”

“How can I do this too?” the man replied.

“All you have to do is invite Him in as the new owner.”

The man did this and is now allowing Jesus to rule and reign in every detail of his life.

So often many of us enter a relationship with God that brings us salvation. This is the gospel of salvation. But what God really desires for us is to experience the gospel of the Kingdom. He wants us to experience His power and presence every day of our lives and to see His hand at work in us. This only happens when we give Him the key to our life; He must be more than an honored guest.

Where are you today? Has your life with God been more like an honored-guest relationship, or does He have the key to your life?

Wasn’t That Interesting?

I really loved this. The prayer was beautiful. After I read this it made me realize how I needed to let God take full control of every aspect of my life. I do ask Him to come into my heart and to have control of my life, but I never asked Him to control every single aspect of it and the decisions I make. Reading this has made me realize that I should honor God and it’s ok for me to do so, but I need Him to control everything. I do trust Him so I know that I/my life is in good hands ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope that this gives you something to think about,

My New Muse: How Long By Da T.R.U.T.H. Ft. Deluge Band

I know that just form the title it sounds like it could be a rock or rap song. But it’s not. It’s really mellow and has a lovely message in the lyrics. This is my favorite song at the moment because I really like the lead singers voice. Here is the song so that you can listen to it and reflect on powerful words about God’s love and our love for Him:
