I pray that You will give me the insight as to how to use the tools You have given me–whether spiritual gifts, talents, skills, work place or other–as a ministry in daily life.
I don’t just want to work, take care of my self and my family, my dwelling place, and participate in church life, I want to actually have a mind of ministry to do Your will and impact lives for You.
May You move and minister through my life to accomplish Your purpose.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
(Prime Time With God)
When I remember the story of Joseph’s life,
I realize how you want so much more for me than I could ever dream of.
I also see how you can turn what man means for evil into what you mean for good.
Please bring this to my mind whenever I’m feeling doubt and confusion;
whenever I’m feeling oppressed and alone;
whenever I’m feeling unjustly treated;
whenever I think that I don’t have something I need.
I know that you are in control.
I pray that I will always allow you to do your work and that I will not interfere in your plans for me.
Please give me strength and fill me with your desires for me.
In Jesus’ name,
Do other people see me as a faithful friend or a burdensome buddy?
I pray that I will be the kind of person that other people love and appreciate; not a person that others want to avoid.
And I pray that I will be a good friend to others.
“A man that hath friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24).
Help me to improve my friendship skills…and to be an example of your love in all I do.
Thank you, God.
In Jesus’ name I pray and give you praise, amen.
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).
Dear Lord, I am so aware of how Satan picks at me and tries to trip me all the time.
I know there are spiritual dangers around me.
Please help me to remain alert and to be under the Holy Spirit’s control at all times.
I want to draw near to You, so the devil will flee.
Please protect my family and me from harm and evil.
Thank You for Your love, concern, and protection.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
I felt impressed to share this prayer with you all. My peers at college are busy watching the new film “Evil Dead” and I decided that I was going to check my emails so that I didn’t have to watch it.
As I was reading I came across an email that I hadn’t yet read. The prayer seemed so perfect for me right now as I have been praying during this movie.
I can hear everything that is going on in the film and can see how intrigued my peers are, but I can see the Lord and would rather commune with Him than stray into the devils territory.
Praise be to God, who loves me and will always protect me even when it seems that I am in a difficult situation that may test my relationship with Him.
Oh Lord, Help me be strong and courageous.
Empower, lift up, and encourage me that I will not be terrified of any thing, person nor circumstance, neither let me be discouraged, for You, the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go (Joshua 1:9).
No matter what I face today, I know that You are with me and Your Holy Spirit lives within me and has sealed me unto the day of redemption.
I know that the blood of Jesus has covered my sin and washed me white as snow, that I may be righteous in Him and live unto Him.
I praise You and thank You Lord Almighty for Your strength, power, grace, mercy, and love.
May You be glorified in all the earth, and through my life.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
O dear heavenly Father, this day brings heaviness to my heart and joy to my soul.
Good Friday, the day that those of us who are followers of Christ “Christians” recognize the moment in history when your Son, our Savior, was led to the Cross, to suffer crucifixion and physical death and experience separation from You because of our sin.
I am so sorry that my sin and the sin of mankind made it necessary for such a sacrifice.
I’m sorry that my sin caused Jesus such pain and grief and caused your heart to break.
I thank You for providing a way for me to come to You through Jesus.
I thank You that Good Friday was not the end, but that Jesus Christ resurrected on the third day and sits at your right hand today, interceding on my behalf and on behalf of all who come to Him with belief and faith and repentance.
I remember today and I am grateful. For it is in the name of Jesus that I can come to you,
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and a wonderful Good Friday reflecting on God and resting from a busy week 🙂
Good morning, God. As I look forward to this day, I want to start by thanking you for all the many blessings you have given me. The little things I so often take for granted, like having food, clothing and shelter; being able to work; being able to get up out of the bed even. Keep me focused on what is important in life. Help me to sow good things in this world. If I’m not doing enough, or not doing all you want me to do, please remind me and guide me. I praise You, God, and give you the glory, great things you have done. Amen.
I found this beautiful prayer and thought that I should share it with you. I would like you to read i because I think that it’s something that we should all pray when we wake up. It reminds us of our Father and allows Him to help us during our day and to help us share our love for Him with others. You will understand this when you read it. 🙂
I pray that you will give me strength, wisdom, knowledge and a sensitivity to recognize the opportunities before me to tell others about you. I pray that I will have eyes to see and ears to hear your message and your whispers and a heart to feel the prompting of the Holy Spirit to speak, to act, to make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you, God, for all you have done for me and all you will do through me for your glory and honor. I praise you, for you are great and mighty. You are my God and Creator, my Father and Nurturer, my God who is always there loving me, guiding me, and protecting me. Thank you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a poem, so here goes 🙂
Praise The Lord,
You are my sword.
You keep me from hurt and harm,
under an angels arm.
You love me so much,
It’s you I wish to touch.
You are my Heavenly Dad,
and for that reason I no longer need to be sad.
Praise the Lord!
I know that that was probably rubbish, but oh well. It’s best to keep things simple. 🙂 Nighty night all! From Nadine
For those who don’t know, I am a huge fan of Kari Jobe and have been listening and sharing her songs with you for quite a while. (If you don’t believe me, check the post below :). )
This particular song that I will share with you today is currently one of my favorites and one that I love to tire out as I’m singing it all the time. It just reminds me of happiness and love and reminds me that God is always there and is always looking after me even when life throws something I don’t like at me 🙂
Here is the song for you to listen to and the video for you to watch. Reflect on the lyrics and remember that the sun always shines at the end of even the darkest tunnels.

Consider this the thought for the day 🙂
