“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).
Dear Lord, I am so aware of how Satan picks at me and tries to trip me all the time.
I know there are spiritual dangers around me.
Please help me to remain alert and to be under the Holy Spirit’s control at all times.
I want to draw near to You, so the devil will flee.
Please protect my family and me from harm and evil.
Thank You for Your love, concern, and protection.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
I felt impressed to share this prayer with you all. My peers at college are busy watching the new film “Evil Dead” and I decided that I was going to check my emails so that I didn’t have to watch it.
As I was reading I came across an email that I hadn’t yet read. The prayer seemed so perfect for me right now as I have been praying during this movie.
I can hear everything that is going on in the film and can see how intrigued my peers are, but I can see the Lord and would rather commune with Him than stray into the devils territory.
Praise be to God, who loves me and will always protect me even when it seems that I am in a difficult situation that may test my relationship with Him.
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a poem, so here goes 🙂
Praise The Lord,
You are my sword.
You keep me from hurt and harm,
under an angels arm.
You love me so much,
It’s you I wish to touch.
You are my Heavenly Dad,
and for that reason I no longer need to be sad.
Praise the Lord!
I know that that was probably rubbish, but oh well. It’s best to keep things simple. 🙂 Nighty night all! From Nadine
As the sun rises we realise that we can get up and play,
I really do hope you have a good day.
We laugh around and jump and shout,
lets hope you don’t mess God about.
We should jump for joy that we are alive,
just as the bees come out their hive.
We play in the leaves seeing as Autumn’s done,
And now the winter has begun.
Let’s not forget to give God praise,
Even though there has been rainy days.
Don’t forget to stop and pray,
I hope you had a good day.
Have a wonderful night and I hope you liked my poem.
(It’s probably the best I’ve come up with on the spot. 🙂 Please leave a comment bellow if you would like me to do more and some of your blog post requests.)
I realized/noticed that I hadn’t done a Christian Commit post recently, so I decided to do one today.
I found this picture on Facebook, and found it to be really truthful.
It is telling us that we should have faith no matter what. Let me give you an example of what this text is basically saying:
You have a key (prayer) but you are too afraid or don’t trust that it would get you into your house/car etc. You know that this key is the right key seeing as it has your BMW keyring attached to it, and it is the key the company gave you.
It sounds kind of silly that this person in my quickly made up story is too afraid to try, even though it is the same key he/she used to get in/out of their house or car.
Sometimes we have faith and we use it and God works miraculously in our lives. Then when something happens, we say should we pray to God? will He answer our prayers?
Sometimes we are really slow to learn and really quick to forget what good came out of our situations.
We need to remember that God does care about us. He will ALWAYS answer our prayers. And He will never leave us. Don’t be afraid to ask Him anything. Just believe that He will answer your prayer, then He will.
Thanks for reading and I hope that you will try God one day and see what He does. sometimes He won’t always answer straight away, or He might give us a different answer to the one we are searching for. Remember God knows best, and at least He answered )
Happy Reading and enjoy the rest of your day, and your dinner! From Nadine
This Prayer is one that can be said every morning. It’s good to ask the Lord to lead the way, seeing as he sees everything and knows everything.
I would rather let him lead me because I always make mistakes and sometimes do the things what I want to do, even though those things would get me into trouble.
God, like our parents wants the very best for us. His decisions are not selefish and are to pretect us and to not stop us from what we want to do.
Sometimes we might want to do one thing for e.g. fashion design then God says, you should be a model instead. Imagine this is something that you really don’t want to do, but you listen to God and do it anyway. After a few years of being a model, you decide to draw a dress collection just for fun. You now have more insite into the things that other people are designing, and you also know when the seasons change and how dramatically the clothing changes over the seasons.
We must remeber to let God lead, because He’s the only one that sees the big picture, unlike us who only see peices of the jigsaw where God has worked miraculously on our lives, and the lives of others.
Good Morning. and I hope you have a good day, From Nadine.
