“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).
Dear Lord, I am so aware of how Satan picks at me and tries to trip me all the time.
I know there are spiritual dangers around me.
Please help me to remain alert and to be under the Holy Spirit’s control at all times.
I want to draw near to You, so the devil will flee.
Please protect my family and me from harm and evil.
Thank You for Your love, concern, and protection.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
I felt impressed to share this prayer with you all. My peers at college are busy watching the new film “Evil Dead” and I decided that I was going to check my emails so that I didn’t have to watch it.
As I was reading I came across an email that I hadn’t yet read. The prayer seemed so perfect for me right now as I have been praying during this movie.
I can hear everything that is going on in the film and can see how intrigued my peers are, but I can see the Lord and would rather commune with Him than stray into the devils territory.
Praise be to God, who loves me and will always protect me even when it seems that I am in a difficult situation that may test my relationship with Him.
Oh Lord, Help me be strong and courageous.
Empower, lift up, and encourage me that I will not be terrified of any thing, person nor circumstance, neither let me be discouraged, for You, the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go (Joshua 1:9).
No matter what I face today, I know that You are with me and Your Holy Spirit lives within me and has sealed me unto the day of redemption.
I know that the blood of Jesus has covered my sin and washed me white as snow, that I may be righteous in Him and live unto Him.
I praise You and thank You Lord Almighty for Your strength, power, grace, mercy, and love.
May You be glorified in all the earth, and through my life.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
When I first read this on Facebook I knew that it was one of the most beautiful things ever. Today I think that I am going to let this prayer stand alone and not write a lot of text to support it because it’s strong already. This prayer is very personal to you and your family so it’s only fair that I set you with a little task (if you choose to accept it 😉 ). I want you to pray this prayer and share it with your family and friends. I think that it is a lovely way to show them that you care about them and to encourage them that God does too, even if it’s not a special occasion.
I hope that this encourages your family/friends and helps them to draw closer to God even more if they are not already. Just keep praying!
I hope you have a lovely day,
“God doesn’t remove all our imperfections but He makes us beautiful by shining through them”
“The most valuable commentary on the Bible is a Godly Life”
“God’s judgment is certain, but so is His mercy”
“Those who’ve been rescued from sin are best able to help in the rescue of others”
“Do all the good, you can, in all the ways that you can, for all the people you can, while you can”
I think that today’s theme is all about our character. I strive to have a character that best reflects God because who wouldn’t want to be as loving as Him? Also it is having a good character that makes God happy. He doesn’t want us to be horrible to each other because that’s not what He made us for.
How are we to tell the good news to people if we are ugly on the inside and are always miserable and don’t want to share anything with anyone because we don’t like them? We can’t. We should follow in the path that Jesus laid out for us because He loves us. If we love Jesus we should love others because that’s what He does.
I love God and I believe that He is so so good to me and you. It’s amazing that even though we are all imperfect he will shine through us if we allow Him and if we really want to be like Him and set a good example. I hope you understand what I mean 🙂
I know that everyone’s views are different, so if you have a different opinion or if you can better explain what I am trying to get across, then please leave a comment below 🙂
I hope that you all have a good night and that you remember to let God into your heart through prayer and ask Him to let Himself be seen in you rather than our sinful selves.
